Combined control of levitation and propulsion for linear induction motor based on IFO method

Dynamic mathematic model with thrust and normal force of a single sided linear induction motor(SLIM) were established by flux distribution analysis,which was suitable for gap-length changing.Repulsive component and attractive component in normal force were analyzed according to SLIM's operation characteristics.A novel decoupling strategy was proposed to control independently thrust and normal force based on indirect flux orientation(IFO).The stable levitation and propulsion during levitation was realized in a SLIM model vehicle of combined levitation and propulsion by using proposed decoupling control strategy.
