George Alexander McDonald

George Alexander McDonald was born in Aberdeen, but his father, a banker, moved north to Fochabers on Speyside, where George came to be educated at the local Milne’s Institute. From 1942 to 1947 he served in the armed forces and then studied medicine at Aberdeen University.
