The Strategies of Oral English Teaching in the Development of Learner Autonomy

Oral English teaching is one of the most important parts in English teaching,which attracted so many teachers' attention.Starting with the evolved concept of autonomy and the theories of learner autonomy,this paper analyzes the problems in oral English teaching and the students English speaking,then puts forward some practical strategies of oral English teaching.The paper aims to explain the importance of the learner autonomy and the teachers direction in oral English teaching in the development of learner autonomy.
