Efectos de la violencia intrafamiliar en el hombre cuando la agresora es una mujer

Background: Domestic violence is a phenomenon that currently affects a whole society (Morales and Namicela, 2014). This is seen as any action committed by a family member including physical, psychological, verbal, sexual, economic, humiliation, deprivation or exploitation (Shuler, 2010). Actually, violence against men is a very serious problem that has been increasing over the years, since several men have joined in denouncing this violence by their partners. Methodology: This study should use at least 20 men who have been mistreated by their partners. They are going to have a personal interview in which they will be asked questions related to domestic violence. Then, they will be in a focus group, in which they can say their thoughts, their feelings, and their experiences that are related to domestic violence. Results: The expected results are negative consequences because women choose more dangerous and more harmful measures of abuse, such as psychical and psychological injuries. Conclusions: It could be said that domestic violence exerted by women against men affects the daily life of the victim. In spite of been few studies about this subject it could be said that domestic violence affects not only physically but also psychologically; causing alterations in the psyche and threatening the identity of the male.
