SUBSTANCE: product: trialkylorthoformates of the formula HC(OR) 3 where: R - Me, n-Pr, n-Bu, i-Bu were synthesized by interaction of chloroform, alcohol of the general formula ROH and alkaline metal hydroxide in the presence of interphase transfer catalyst taken from the order: tri-n-butamine or 1,8-di-(dimethylamino)-3,6-dioxaoctane or 1,1-di-(dimethylamino)-3,6,9-trioxanedecane or 1,8-di-(diethylamino)-3,6-dioxaoctane or 1,8-di-(N-morpholino)-3,6-dioxaoctane or benz-16-crown-5 or 18-crown-6.
