Erosive Pustular Dermatosis of the Scalp Treated with 0.1% Mometasone Furoate Cream
2014
Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp (EPD) is a rare skin disease characterized by sterile pustules and crusted erosions following physical or chemical trauma. We report a 49-year-old man with a 2-week history of erythema, multiple pustules and erosions limited to the scalp. Based on anamnesis, clinical appearance and histopathological image analysis EPD was diagnosed. The skin lesions responded well to topical 0.1% mometasone furoate cream applied once daily.
