e17059 Background: The role of CT for RMSGM is palliative only. In this abstract we report multivariate analysis of clinical characteristcs impact on survival. Methods: We enrolled 108 pts. Five pts received cisplatin (DDP) 100 mg/sm d1,q 3wks; 8 pts doxorubicin 75 mg/sm d1, q 3wks; 30 pts vinorelbine (VNB) 30 mg/sm d.1,8, q 3wks; 9 pts DDP+ epirubicin 60 mg/sm + 5-FU 600 mg/sm d.1, q 3wks; 42 pts DDP 80 mg/sm d.1 +VNB 25 mg/sm d.1,8, q 3wks and 14 pts carboplatin AUC 5.5. + paclitaxel 175 mg/sm d.1, q 3wks. Results: Pts characteristics were as follows: 64 males (59%) and 44 females (41%); median age: 57 yrs (20-74); 42 pts (39%) had ECOG PS 0 (47%) and 66 PS1-2 (61%); histology: adenocarcinoma (AC) 32 (30%), adenoid cystic ca. (ACC) 59 (55%), undifferentiated ca. (UC) 12 pts (11%) and malignant mixed tumor (MMT) 5 (4%); site of disease: local 41 (38%) , mts + local 29 (27%), mts only 38 (35%). Responses: 3 CR , 24 PR, 36 NC and 45 PD; clinical benefit: PolyCT vs Mono CT : 63% vs 51% ; DDP based vs NoDDP ...
