converting apparatus orthomode optimized compactness in the cell plane for antenna
2007
1. A device (D) converting orthomode antenna, comprising i) main guide (GP), for distribution along the main axis of the first and second electromagnetic modes having first and second polarization orthogonal to each other and comprising a first end, associated with a circular entrance (AC), intended for said first and second modes, and a second end, ii) a first auxiliary guide (GA1), intended for propagation of said first electromagnetic mode along a first auxiliary B and comprising a first end, sequentially connected to said second end of the main guide (GP) via the slit serial communication (FSP), and a second end connected to the serial input (AS), intended for said first mode, and iii) a second auxiliary guide ( GA2), intended for propagation of said second electromagnetic mode along a second auxiliary axis, coupled to said main guide (GP) via at least one slit parallel connection (FPL; FPT) and having a first end coupled to a parallel input (AP) adapted to said second mode, characterized in that said first (GA1) and second (GA2) auxiliary guides are placed one above the other so that their first and second auxiliary axes are parallel to said main axis, and in that each slit parallel connection (FPL; FPT) is defined between the upper wall (PS) of the main guide (GP) and a lower wall (PI) of the second auxiliary guide (GA2) and oriented relative to said the main axis so their way to ensure communication is superior
