Numerical simulation and experimental verification of three-point bending of magnesium alloy profile

The AZ31B magnesium alloy constitutive model under tensile and compress stress at room temperature has been established.According to the constitutive model setting up,the three-point bending deformation process of extrusions has been simulated.The results show that the forming force,outer wall collapse and rebound of the numerical simulation amounts are almost identical with that of the experiment obtained.But there are relative large differences between the inner wall collapses obtained both from simulating and experiment.This is due to the ignoring of anisotropy of the extrusions during the simulation model setting up.The simulating process of three-point bending of the magnesium alloy extrusions verified that the constitutive model of the profile is accurate and it can be taken as a guide for numerical simulation model research on bending of magnesium alloy profile.
