Examination of the Pathogen of Male Urethritis: Outcome Analysis of 179 Cases

Objective: To investigate the pathogens of male patients with clinical symptom of urethritis and the incidence tendency of the venereal diseases. Methods:In 179 male cases with urethritis, Secretion smear and CT were tested, gonococcus, UU and MH were cultured. Results: Of the 179 cases, the pathogens can not be found in 31 cases. Gonococci, candida, trichononad, Chlamydi trachomatis, Ureaplasma urelyticum and Mycoplasma horninis were found in 19(10.6%), 6(3.3%), 5(2.8%), 55(30.7%), 79(44.1%), 45(25.1%) cases respectively. Of the 19 cases of gonococci, 13 cases were complicated with infections of Chlamydi trachomatis, Ureaplasma urelyticum or Mycoplasma hominis. Conclusion: Among the detected pathogens, gonococci infection rate was low, infections of Chlamydi trachomatis, Ureaplasma urelyticum and Mycoplasma hominis were the majority.
