Polarization of random beams scattered from two-dimensional bio-tissue slices

Abstract Within the validity of the first Born approximation scattering of light with arbitrary spatial and spectral content as well as with any states of coherence and polarization from thin bio-tissue slices is considered. Far-field spectral degree of polarization of scattered light shown to be related to statistical properties of illumination and correlation properties of tissue.
