Quantum State Teleportation from a Single Ion to a Single Photon by Heralded Absorption

Using a high-brightness narrowband source of 40 Ca + -ion-resonant entangled photon pairs at 854 nm, we teleport a qubit from the D 5/2 Zeeman sub-levels of the ion onto the polarization qubit of a single photon by heralded absorption.
