АНАЛИЗ КРИТЕРИЕВ ПОЖАРНОЙ ОПАСНОСТИ БЛОКА ГАЗОПОРШНЕВОЙ ГЕНЕРАТОРНОЙ УСТАНОВКИ

2018
Background The use of gaseous fuels in internal combustion engines has found wide application in the oil and gas industry. Gas reciprocating units allow to generate electricity using associated petroleum gas as raw materials, but they are an increased fire hazard source, and additional measures are required to comply with fire safety measures. Aims and Objectives Development of a criterion for a gas reciprocating unit that provides the required fire and explosion hazard category at a certain multiplicity of air exchange. Results The calculation method established that the use of 200-fold air exchange eliminates the fuel gas concentration more than 10 % of the lower concentration flame propagation limit. Power supply in the first reliability category allows the engine room placement at gas reciprocating power plant not to be classified as explosive-heat-hazardous category A. Based on the results of the calculations, it is established that the fireproof distances between the buildings and structures of the gas reciprocating unit should be taken equal to 6 m.
