Enhancement of Performance Parameters in Wireless Mobile Adhoc Networks Using DSR and Cache-Modified DSR Routing Protocols

2022
The main advantage of MANET is its self-configurable nature and no need of fixed infrastructure. In lot of normal applications and real-time environment, the MANET provides good solution like military applications, personal, civilian, and battle fields. In addition, MANET can be used to provide internet communication and many wireless networks using gateways. On the other hand, MANET suffers from data access applications and also suffers from the troubles caused by mobility and limited energy supplies. To cope up with above said problems, caching have been generally used in wireless mobile Adhoc networks and make sure data access performance and data availability. In on-demand routing protocol, route caching is more important to enhance the Quality of Service (QoS). QoS is extremely necessary for a variety of applications of Mobile Adhoc networks. In on-demand protocol, Route detection stage is used. To overcome route detection method, route caching strategy is employed. Regular utilization of route detection is of very high expenditure and produces inefficient result in terms of QoS parameters. For this reason, in this manuscript, we have projected novel method for cache updating with dispersed route cache update algorithm. In conservative method, simply the nodes occupied in the routing pathway knows regarding the route mistake, and those nodes simply modify their cache. In UDSR, by using dispersed cache substitution algorithm, source node transmits the route fault information of size 70 bytes to every of its adjacent nodes. Thus, every adjacent nodes replace the hard route in their cache. Investigational assessment is done through network simulator (NS2). The projected method enhances the performance up to 35%-45% by various parameters like packet drop, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), energy consumption, and end-to-end delay.
