Twenty-eight fragments have been defined using the class I probe (Table 1 and Fig. 1). The family studies have revealed the existence of a few additional faint bands that are not detected in every blot. The majority of the fragments are polymorphic, although many of their frequencies are either above 85% or below 15%. Most individual DNA samples display 15 to 18 bands which correlate well both in number and size with those reported (1,2). There is no relationship between RFLP pattern and DR type (Table 2).
