Approaches to supramolecular structures with various topologies in the crystal lattice

Simple molecular building blocks for creating supramolecular architectures in the crystal lattice are described. Combination of hydrogen bonding and alkyl chain crystallization is used to explore self-assembly1 of molecular building blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the crystal lattice. The crystal lattice of pure acids and its equimolar mixtures with bifunctional hydrogen bond acceptors are characterized by singe crystal analysis.
