Characterisation and Elimination of the Interfering Effects of the Foreign Species In Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric Analysis of Thallium

2010
The interfering effects of some foreign species in flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric analysis of thallium is discussed. The elimination of these interfering effects using either potassium cyanide or n-butylamine is done. The mechanism of their releasing effect is illustrated. The inhibition release titration method has been used in studying the interfering effects.
