Rotor Eccentricity Compensation of Bearingless Switched Reluctance Motors Based on Extended Kalman Filter

2019
In bearingless switched reluctance motor (BSRM), not only random disturbance but also measurement noise are inevitable. For purpose of reducing the BSRM unbalance vibration caused by rotor eccentric mass, in this paper, at first, the principle and influence of the unbalance vibration of BSRM rotor are introduced. The compensation control method for the unbalance vibration based on extended Kalman filter (EKF) is proposed. This compensation method is simulated and evaluated in MATLAB/Simulink. The results verify that the rotor eccentric displacement can be effectively compensated by using this method. Thus, the vibration caused by rotor eccentricity is suppressed and the rotor is rotating around the inertia axis.
