On the stability of parametric amplifiers

The interaction of an amplified signal with the pumping oscillation in single-mode parametric amplifiers is investigated theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that stochastic instability can develop in such systems even in a quasilinear excitation mode. The conditions and scenarios for the appearance of chaotic oscillations are determined
