Hydrosilylation of α,α,α-Trichloroalkenes in the Presence of H2PtCl6·6H2O.

The trichloropentene (I) reacts with triethylsilane (II) in the presence of hexachloroplatinic(IV) acid to give the hydrosilylation product (III), together with the isomerization product (IV).
