Metabolites of the pathogenic fungus Verticillium dahliae V. 9,10-Dichlorostearic acid — A minor component of the lipid fraction

9,10-Dichlorostearic acid has been isolated from the lipid fraction of the mycelium ofVerticillium dahliae Kleb. and its structure has been determined on the basis of IR,1H and13C NMR, and mass spectra, and also by comparison with the spectral characteristics of its synthetic analog.
