DISORDERING AND AMORPHIZATION OF Al_3Ti-BASED INTERMETALLICS

Upon 5h of milling, the structure of stoichiometric Al3Ti transformed from the as-cast ordered DO22 to disordered FCC and remains unchanged till milling time of 60h. The structural evolution of Al67Ti23Mn8 alloy with ordered L12 was as follows: ordered FCC-disordered FCC→supersaturatedFCC solid solution＋partial amorphous→complete amorphous.
