Dual Transformer Based Dual Active Bridge for Solid State Transformer in Distribution System

2020
Due to the surge in the renewable energy and distributed power source in the electric grid and with the increase in demand of the electric traction system, much research on power quality improvement in the grid has been seen in the last few years. The conventional transformer which has been used for very long years becomes inefficacious for voltage, current, and frequency control. Furthermore, we cannot integrate dc supply, bulky as well as heavy due to low-frequency operation and have other limitations. It can be bridled by using solid-state transformer which has been named in the top 10 prominent technologies by MIT in 2010 for upcoming years. Global Solid State Transformers Market has estimated the compound annual growth rate of the Solid-state transformer to be around appealing 24.75 % during 2016-2023. This paper presents the analysis of the dual transformer-based dual active bridge for solid-state transformer in the distribution system.
