Method and apparatus for cleaning vulcanization molds

The invention relates to a device for cleaning a vulcanizing mould using dry ice. The device comprises a holding arm (20) at whose free end a dry ice nozzle (36) is held such that it is able to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the holding arm (20) in such a way that the dry ice nozzle (36) can be introduced into the vulcanizing mould (38) and rotated in same. Via a feed hose (30, 32) the dry ice nozzle (36) can be connected to a dry ice machine (28). The device also comprises a sound insulation unit (18) which can be placed against the vulcanizing mould (38). The aim of the invention is to provide a device for cleaning a vulcanizing mould in the vulcanizing press rapidly, fully and without residue. To this end the invention provides for an adjustment device (52) which is attached to the holding arm (20) and serves to adjust the dry ice nozzle (36) at right angles to the plane of rotation.
