Clinical value of high-quality nursing care for patients with acute myocardial infarction

2017
Objective To explore the value of high-quality nursing on patients with acute myocardial infarction in Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). Methods A total of 81 patients with acute myocardial infarction were collected from CCU of the cardiology department of Wujin People’s hospital in 2016, with 53 males and 28 females. The average age was 66.69±10.45 years ranging from 42 to 87 years. Patients were randomly divided into two groups including the control group (41 cases) and the observation group (40 cases). The patients in the control group were conducted with conventional nursing including ECT monitoring, oxygen inhalation, rest and activity guidance, diet care, disease observation and health education. The patients in the observation group were conducted with high-quality nursing including additional mental nursing, basic nursing, responsibility nursing and special medication nursing compared with ordinary nursing. Nursing satisfaction and the improvement of anxiety were compared in the two groups. Results The scores of anxiety and depression in the obeservation group were statistically significantly lower than that in the control group [(30.2±3.2)vs(20.4±2.7); (28±6)vs (20±5); P<0.05]. The percents of nursing satisfaction were 97.5% (obeservation group)and 80.5% (control group), respectively. There was statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions Compared with conventional nursing, High-quality nursing for patients with acute myocardial infarction can significantly alleviate the anxiety of patients, reduce the incidence of complicationsand improve the nursing satisfaction.
