Beta delayed charged particles decay from light nuclei near the drip line

2008
Beta delayed proton radioactivity has been observed for the Tz=−5/2 isotopes 31Ar and 27S produced by projectile fragmentation of 36Ar at 85 MeV/u. Spectra of beta delayed protons have been obtained. The measured half‐lines are T1/2=15±3 ms for 31Ar and 16±5 ms for 27S respectively. No evidence was found for direct two‐proton decay of these nuclei.
