International Transmission Pathways of TCM Culture: Under the Background of Intercultural Communication

This paper tries to explore the internal connection between inter-cultural communication and international spread of TCM culture to promote the acceptance of TCM-related culture in the world. Based on the content and developmental trend of cross cultural communication, the connotation of TCM culture and the necessity of global spread of TCM culture, it focuses on interpretation of the main existing dissemination pathways of TCM culture. Confucius Institutes of TCM, the World Health Organization and museums of TCM are playing important roles in transmitting TCM culture globally. The results suggest that international transmission of TCM culture should make full use of inter-cultural communication skills and search for as many powerful platforms as possible.
