Control of an electrohydraulic artificial heart using flow estimation

A method for estimating flow in an aria1 flow pump based on motor current measurements is described. The flow estimation scheme is applied to the control of an electrohydraulic total artificial hem under development at tk University of Utah. Test results show that it is possible to achieve full-stroke control without pressure sensors by using this method.
