ANALYSIS OF THE OPERATION PRESSURE OF CHINA MEDICAL INSURANCE IN THE BACKGROUND OF AGING PROCESS

Objective:To reveal the impacts of the operation of China medical insurance in the background of aging process in order to provide scientific basis for assuring healthy and continuable development of China medical insurance system.Methods:The data of Chinese population and social medical insurance during past years were collected and dealed with descriptive statistical description.Results:China has stepping into aging society,and the structure of the insurants is aging year by year,the ratio of workers to retirees is decreasing from 3.10 in 2000 to 2.69 in 2004,the fund consuming per retirees is 1.08 times more than that of workers in 2003.Conclusion:The aging process has brought great pressures and challenges to China medical insurance.In order to assure the well function of China medical insurance system,the steps of increasing the income of fund and controlling the payments are necessary.
