This document gathers a clinical case referring to a primiparous woman of 34 + 3 weeks of gestation who comes to the Emergency Service reporting moderate abdominal pain along with vaginal bleeding in an amount similar to the menstruation. She infers nausea and vomiting, nonspecific malaise, and nervousness. After the exploration and the performance of pertinent tests, intrauterine fetal death was diagnosed together with an ultrasound image suspicious of Placental Abruption. As an introduction to the case, information has been collected about the causes, maternal and fetal risk factors, and psychological consequences of intrauterine fetal death. An individualized nursing care plan is made for the patient, taking into account the traumatic situation that involves the loss of a descendant before birth.
