Synthesis of the C(1)–C(8) segment of (+)-acutiphycin

Abstract The synthesis of the pyran segment of (+)-acutiphycin was achieved using an intramolecular Lewis acid-catalyzed reaction between a silyl enol ether and an ortho ester.
