Improving the strength of chamotte-kaolin refractories

In the production of chamotte products including standard sizes, on the basis of Vladimirovsk kaolin without the use of plastic clays, it is necessary to introduce finely milled chamotte into the bond part of the batch due to the sandiness and low plasticity of the kaolin; the chamotte content must be increased to 70–80%, and small additions of sodium tripolyphosphate made to the moistening slip.
