The Phaco Machine

There are several phaco machines on the American market. Conceptually they are all tasked with accomplishing the same outcome: a safe and efficient phacoemulsification of the human lens. Each device is marketed with variations on features and benefits that may or may not work to your surgeon’s advantage. Your surgeon will find a comfort level with one system or another although many centers offer only a single system due to expense, training, and the challenge of maintaining inventory.
