Experimental generation of two-mode coherent states for data encryption

We demonstrate data encryption over 20 km of dispersion-shifted fiber by use of two-mode coherent states. Our preliminary results indicate that successful data encryption at high bit rates (150 MHz) can be obtained using off-the-shelf components.
