Karakteristik Penderita Hipospadia yang Dirawat di RSUP Sanglah Denpasar Periode Januari 2005 - Juni 2007

Objective We studied age, type, degree of chordee, associated anomaly, hormonal therapy, type of operation and post-operative complication retrospectively in hypospadia. Material & Method Fourty eight patients underwent treatment for hypospadia during the study priod. the data were collected from medical record. Result The age of hypospadia patients came to urology clinic was between 1 to 21 year old (5,4 year). the age was less than 2 years old when operated in 11 patients (22,9%) and more than 2 year old in 37 patient (77,1%). seven patients had distal hypospadia (14,5%), 28 patients had middle hipospadia (58,4%) and 13 patients had proximal hypospadia (27,1%). 39 patients (81,3%) presented chordee mild in 6 patients (12,5%), modered in 14 patients (25%), and severe ij 19 patients (37,5%); while 9 patients (18,7%) presented no chordee. three patients (6,3%) had associated anomaly, included 2 patients (4,1%) with cryptorchismus and 1 patient (2%) with testis atrophy. no history using hormonal therapy in mother patients. operation was done using preputial island flap in all patients 9100%). thirteen patients (28%) had post operative complication; 12 patients (25%) presented with urethrrocutaneous fistule and 1 patient (2,1%) with meatal stenosis. Conclusion Hypospadia is one of congenital anomaly. most of operation was done after more than 2 year old (77,7%). most patients had type of mddle hypospadia (58,4%). 39 patients accompanied with chordee (81,3%), 19 patients (48,7%) diagnosed with severe chordee. three patients had associated anomaly (6,3%). no patient s mother using hormonal therapy during pregnancy. all patients were operated using preputial island flap technique. the most often complication found was urethrocutaneus fistule (25%)
