Adaptive and Low Latency DWBA Algorithm with SLA Support for NG-EPON

In this paper, an adaptive and efficient resource allocation mechanism called adaptive satisfaction with inclination dynamic bandwidth and wavelength allocation (ASWI-DWBA) algorithm is proposed. Through the introduction of the inclination coefficient, the utilization of the uplink bandwidth is improved, and the adaptive support for the service level agreement (SLA) is effectively realized. On this basis, this paper compares and analyzes three dynamic wavelength allocation (DWA) schemes by considering factors such as guard time and wavelength load balancing. Finally, a wavelength allocation scheme based on priority and load is used to achieve stable low-latency performance, by making full use of the new characteristic of channel bonding and flexible allocation. The simulation results prove that the ASWI-DWBA algorithm proposed in this paper combined with the priority-load based DWA scheme can achieve adaptive changes to network load and traffic load ratio; in addition to providing stable low latency and high utilization, it can also provide continuous differentiated services.
