Interaction between polypyrrole chains and inserted inorganic species studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy

Abstract Polypyrrole doped with FeCl 3 has been studied by 57 Fe Mossbauer (ME) spectroscopy. ME investigations provides the experimental evidence for a strong interaction between the polymer matrix and doping anions. The strength of this interaction can easily be modified by changing the content of water molecules in the polymer during heating or ageing.
