Progress in the Study of Pericytes

The existence and effect of pericytes have been seldom paid attention to for a long time.However,as one of the components of microvessels,pericytes play an important role in the generation,development,stabilization,maturation and remoulding of microvessels,which has been paid more and more attention to recently.This article summarized peficytes' location,structure,expression, function,signal pathways,and the interaction on endothelial cells,expecting to offer some inspiration for the study of pericytes.
