Comparison of Celiac Dietary Adherence Test and Biagi Compliance Scores in Celiac Patients

2016
Objectives: CDAT and Biagi are scores developed to assess compliance to a gluten free diet among celiac patients. Primary objective: To show whether there is a consistency in CDAT and Biagi compliance levels Methods: A total of 143 questionnaires were filled. 50 were filled as phone surveys and 93 were answered electronically. Subjects are confirmed celiac disease patients obtained from the celiac society. Results: The correlation coefficient between the CDAT score and the BIAGI score is a high significant moderate negative correlation (r=-0.339 p<0.0005) Conclusion: CDAT and Biagi showed significant coinciding in their categorization of compliance. However, due to discrepancy in the noncompliant cateogory, f urther analysis needs to be done to determine which score is better in identifying non-compliance.
