Antarctica and the Southern Ocean

The Sea Ice Prediction Network (SIPN) is a community-wideeffort to assess seasonal sea ice forecasts for the Arctic. It hasbeen in operation since 2008, when it started life as the SEARCHSea Ice Outlook (Hamilton and Stroeve 2016). This internationalinitiative has created a strong community of researchers fromvarious backgrounds with a common interest in forecasting seaice conditions in the Arctic Ocean.
