A MODEL OF THE HIRSCHSPRUNG´S DISEASE Kivva A.N. 1, Chepurnoy G.I. 1, Panchenko S.N. 1 Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia 1 Rostov State Medical University (Russia, Rostov-on-Don 344022, Nakhichevansky St.29).Email: okt@rostgmu.ru ____________________________________________________________________ To initiate the Hirschsprung´s disease, the outer compartment of the large intestine in rats was incised to remove, along the required length, the seromuscular tunic together with the Auerbach´s plexus, and 5% solution of silver nitrate was applied on the submucous layer of the exposed area (damaging the Meissner´s plexus). A PVC tube was imposed and fixed on the inner compartment of the intestinal wall. Formation of an aganglionic, non-peristaltic, rigid, but viable section of the intestine by damaging of the Auerbach´s and the Meissner´s plexuses allows us to regard this model as pathogenetically valid and suitable for further study of the Hirschsprung´s disease, and to apply the results of the experiments carried out using this model to the clinical practice. Besides, the proposed technique is simple, easily reproducible, and makes it possible to simulate any anatomic form of the Hirschsprung´s disease.
