The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of depression on self esteem and individual achievement among teachers who is currently pursuing their study in Universiti Utara Malaysia under the PKPG mode.There were 201 respondents (N=201) involved in this study.The researcher used Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (ZSDS) developed by William K. Zung to measure depression dimension and The Cultural Free Self-Esteem Inventory for Adults proposed by James Batteles to measure students's self-esteem. The analysis was based on t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Correletion to investigate the hypothesis using SPSS version 12.0. The results indicated that there is no significant dlperence between depression and gender, marital status, academic achievement and also self esteem. The finding also indicated that academic achievement and self esteem for PKPG teachers were significantly correlated with depression.
