Welding Repair Technology of Delayed Cracks in Grade E Steel Casting Surface

Through studying the delayed cracks of 9 600 kW big power locomotive grade E steel casting links, the inoculation period of the casting under certain welding condition were confirmed. The forming reason of the cracks was analyzed, and after the process was improved, the surface cracks decrease dramatically. Finally the delivery schedule and the quality requirment were satisfied.
