Abstract: Myxomas are the most frequent primary cardiac tumors. The symptoms vary and the clinical presentation is usually progressive and is related to the size and location of the tumor. We describe the case of a patient who presented severe heart failure refractory to medical treatment as a manifestation of a giant cardiac myxoma and that required emergency surgery.
