Correlation analysis between homocysteine and blood-fat in patients with cerebral infarction

2006
Objective: To investigate plasma total homocysteine (HCY) and its relation to blood-fat. Methods: 54 cases (observation group), who had been inpatients with cerebral infarction during January, 2002 to May, 2006, were examined the level of fasting HCY and blood-fat,etc.; 39 healthy people (control group) were contrasted and analyzed. Results: Contrasted with the control group, there was statistical significance in fasting HCY level in the observation group (P0.05), but no statistical significance in the correlation between HCY level and TC, TG, HDL-C, and LDL-C levels in serum. Conclusion: Homocysteinemia is not related with blood-fat,and it is one of the independent risk factors for cerebral infarction.
