Two genera of mites new to the Australian fauna (Acari: Acaridae).

'Mycetoglyphux fungivorus' Oudcmans is recorded from Australia for the first time. This species is found in decaying organic matter but is also capable of damaging crop plants. 'Kuzinia laevis' (Dujardin) is recorded from Australia and New Zealand, in association with the introduced bumble bee 'Bombus terrestris' (L.), where it feeds on pollen.
