Redo surgery after multiple coronary endarterectomy

2010
Coronary endarterectomy was recognized as the most controversial method in cardiac surgery due to high perioperative morbidity and mortality. These arguments significantly decreased utilization of coronary endarterectomy in the last two decades. We present a 65 y/o male with unstable angina and low ejection fraction (EF=28%) 15 years after multiple coronary endarterectomy. The patient was successfully treated with redo coronary bypass surgery and reverse heart remodeling, and has remained stable one year after surgery.
