Problems and some proposal for the temporary dwellings built after the disasters

2012
More than 50,000 temporary dwellings have been built after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. Although the basic design of those are improved in 16 years from the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake in 1995, a large number of inhabitants claimed remaining barriers in their dwellings and surroundings. The authors have interviewed inhabitants in Hakoduka-Sakura temporary dwellings complex, then organized supporting group to improve the dwellings, especially to ease bathing for elderly persons. And they observed various types of temporary dwellings in Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures. The authors describe found problems and their activity first, then some proposal on temporary dwellings for next coming disasters.
