Changing the Supramolecular Structure of Reinforcing Aramid Fibers upon Interaction with Water

2018
Using the methods of sorption of water vapors and relaxation NMR spectroscopy, a comparative study of the features of the supramolecular structure of fibers has been performed based on crystallizing and X-ray amorphous aromatic polyamides. The quantitative ratios of crystalline, amorphous, and mesomorphic regions and their variation under the action of water have been determined.
