Research progresses in preparation and application of TiO_2 nanotube arrays composites

Due to its highly ordered array structure,easy industrialization and low cost,TiO2 nanotube arrays prepared by anodic oxidation has become an important inorganic functional material.By compounding nanomaterials inside and outside TiO2 nanotube arrays,a special heterojunction structure can be formed,which can improve its performance and extend its application.According to the latest literatures,TiO2 nanotube array composite materials modified from metals,semiconductors and organics are reviewed,as well as their electrochemical,chemical and physical preparation methods.Their application in the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants,solar cells,biosensor is introduced.The existing problems and development direction are also discussed.
